Marine and ( ) offer you a warm welcome to this traditional farmhouse set in the heart of the Perigord-Limousin Natural Park. Set in it's own grounds of over three acres and with it's private pool, this idyllic rural retreat offers you plenty of scope to truly relax and enjoy your holiday with on site facilities including petanque, badminton and swimming.

For those seeking peace and tranquillity, there is a lovely terrace where you can relax with a good book and a glass of local wine, or simply while away a few hours listening to the birdsong. There are plenty of fine walks nearby and if you're lucky you may even spot some wild deer out in the woods.

Chez Christian is also ideal for families and offers plenty of activities to keep the children amused while their parent's relax. There is an enclosed trampoline, swings, football nets etc as well as three acres of grounds for running and playing. One of the double bedrooms also includes a single bed, and there is a travel cot available if required.

It is only a short drive (5 minutes) to all the amenities you could want at the small medieval market town of Saint Yrieix la Perche. This beautiful old town offers a number of good restaurants, a super weekly market selling fresh locally grown produce and regional specialities, a tennis club and an equestrian centre as well as everything you'd expect such as large supermarkets, pharmacies, doctors etc.

A five minute drive in the opposite direction brings you into Jumilhac le Grand with it's absolutely stunning château located right in the heart of the village. There is a great restaurant in the square overlooking the château, and offering traditional French cuisine and an extensive list of wines and liqueurs. You can dine alfresco throughout the summer, soaking in the ambiance of this enchanting village set above a picturesque gorge and the river Isle. The village also offers a traditional bakery, two bars, a convenience store, pharmacy and a medical centre.

Out and About

Set in the heart of the Perigord Limousin Natural Park, this area offers a wealth of beautiful walks and scenic drives, and ancient places to visit.

Périgueux, Sarlat and Limoges offer stunning architecture, traditional markets, and many visitor attractions.

For those looking for outdoor adventure there is canoeing and a velorail as novel ways to explore the area, or why not try your hand at gold panning as this area was the largest gold producer in Europe. All these activities and more are available locally.

The area is steeped in rich history and there are many châteaux to explore too. Jumilhac le Grand, Hautefort and Pompadour to name but a few. We are confident you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.
